What the
extension sees.
Stocknet earns by noticing rewardable moments. To do that it reads a little, and we'd rather list exactly what than hide it in a policy.
Collected
- Search queries
The text you typed into Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave, Yahoo or Ecosia, plus which engine. Shown back to you in your reward history so you can see what earned.
- Sponsored clicks
When you click a paid result, the advertiser's domain (e.g. nike.com). Not the full link.
- Partner shopping
On partner stores (Amazon today): that you viewed a product and its title, and that an order was confirmed. Never prices, addresses, payment or account details.
- Active browsing
A once-a-minute signal that the browser is in use on a normal web page. No site name is attached.
- Account & browser
Your email or Google profile from sign-in, the browser you paired, and your Earn Portfolio choices.
Never collected
- Page contents, search results or anything you read.
- Your browsing history or the addresses of pages you visit (URL patterns are matched locally and discarded).
- Cookies, passwords, form fields or clipboard.
- Anything at all on sites that are not a search engine or a listed partner — the extension has no script there.
Where it goes
Reward events are sent to your Stocknet account over HTTPS and stored in your reward ledger. They are used to credit your Earn Portfolio and to show your history. In the MVP they are not shared with or sold to anyone; when real search and affiliate partners are connected, they receive only what their program requires to pay out (for example that a search happened, never your account).
Disconnect a browser from Settings at any time; its token stops working immediately. Turning off Earn while browsing in the extension stops all detection.
Permissions requested: storage (your session and cached balance), alarms (the once-a-minute check), webNavigation (partner order-confirmation pages, matched by pattern), idle (so idle time never counts). Content scripts run only on the search engines and partner stores listed above and on Stocknet's own pairing page.
